Joined Snapchat as VP Eng
Yes indeed, as WSJ reported today (“Snapchat Poaches Google Veteran in Engineering Push”), I have recently joined Snapchat.
This is a great place. Hope to get some bandwidth to share thoughts on new generation of communication. For now, I want to link to two items that might interest anybody interested in why I joined:
Evan Spiegel, CEO and co-founder, gave a great keynote at AXS earlier this year. Transcript well worth reading.
Just a bit before the timing of that keynote, Nathan Jurgenson wrote a great piece entitled “The Frame Makes the Photograph “, that is likewise well worth the read.
Not much original thinking from yours truly to share today. Mostly standing on shoulders at this point. Stay tuned.
